Scott Padgett, Founder & COO
Scott Padgett is the Founder of Anvil Logic, Inc. Mr. Padgett launched Anvil Logic in 1999 following a career that allowed him to experience the government contracts arena first hand as both a government COTR and a Program Manager for a large Information Technology Company.
Mr. Padgett is a successful entrepreneur and seasoned business executive with over 20 years of executive leadership, strategic business planning and progressive IT and management experience. In addition to managing the day to day operations of Anvil, Scott serves a dual role as a systems architect/engineer enabling him to stay up with the latest IT technological advances.
Prior to founding Anvil Logic, Mr. Padgett was a Program Manager for Signal Corporation and participated in all aspects of initiating and operating contracts with other regional IT companies and with the government. He was responsible for identifying positions on the contracts, recruiting qualified personnel to fill those positions, and managing the personnel on a day-to-day basis, and maintaining the accounting and profit and loss of these contracts.
Mr. Padgett began his career at the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing where he ultimately played the role of COTR which required him to learn and understand the government procurement process, including overseeing the procurement of press equipment for the production of currency and postage stamps.
Mr. Padgett has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as well as a MS in Systems Management from Capitol College.

Marianne Padgett, Vice President and Director, Quality
Marianne Padgett has over 20 years of experience spanning both the federal government and private sector in conducting and managing internal quality audits and management control reviews.
Prior to joining Anvil Logic, Ms. Padgett was the Manager for Internal Reviews and Quality Audits at the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Ms. Padgett was responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal quality audit and management control review program for the Bureau’s Washington, DC facility covering among other things, manufacturing operations for U.S. currency and postage stamps, product accountability, strategic planning and performance measurement, IT asset management, employment suitability and procurement.
Ms. Padgett joined Anvil Logic in 2002 to direct quality assurance activities for its federal contracts and to help the company develop an ISO 9000 compliant quality management system for its software development process.
Ms. Padgett holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and an M.A. in Organizational Management from the George Washington University.

Steve Werrlein, Director of Business Development
Steve Werrlein is a seasoned business executive with over 20 years of strategic business planning, business development, and marketing experience.
Prior to joining the Anvil Logic team, Mr. Werrlein was a Co-Founder and Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Advanous, an on-demand provider of margin optimization and sales performance solutions for Fortune 1000 businesses.
During his career, Mr. Werrlein has also held marketing and business development leadership positions with Aether Systems, a provider of wireless data services; ORBCOMM, an e-business solution provider using a global network of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites and the American Trucking Associations.
Mr. Werrlein graduated from James Madison University and holds a B.B.S degree in Marketing.
